I had a credit for a poster print at Walgreens and JoAnn has frames 60% off this week, so I got this today. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, but I got a little embarrassed at the look the lady behind me in line gave me when the Walgreens guy unrolled it to make sure it was mine.
I’ve heard this song more times over the last two days than I had in my whole life. First, when my old guy coworker let me listen to the easy listening/”smooth favorites” station in the truck (none of my other coworkers do, which really pisses me off) and then again in the terminal, since they started playing music rather than silence between recorded messages.
I have to admit, I really like it, even though I really hate horses.
Last night was a reminder of both why I really hate and really like working with the old guy at work.
I hate it, because he drives so slow, making a 3 hour task take 5 hours.
I really like it though, because he’s really interesting to talk to. Last night, a few minutes after he got in the truck he started talking to me about the channels on his cable package, which led to talking about kung-fu which led to talking about his DVR, which led to him talking about DVRing NHK for his wife, and then we talked about the stuff on NHK for about an hour. I could not have guessed a 60 some year old ex-army guy would have that much to say about variety shows.
